Make a positive difference to your food system and environment!

Discover the power of working with nature through hands-on training in syntropic farming. You'll help regenerate the land, gain practical skills, and learn the science behind this different approach to agriculture.

We offer a range of learning opportunities - in both Dutch and English, both online and in-person. We have our fields in the areas around Wassenaar and Leiden, South Holland. These places offer a learning ground for hands-on experience in syntropic farming. In 2026 we will expand operations to North Brabant.

Climate-Adaptive Food Systems: Introduction to Syntropic Farming

5-day Immersive Workshop on Syntropic Agriculture

📅 27th , 28th February and 1st March (Friday - Sunday) | 2 & 13th of March

📍 Location: Hilvarenbeek, Noord-Brabant

How can we farm within planetary boundaries? This question is becoming increasingly important, and the answer lies not only with farmers, but with all of us who care about our food and living conditions.

This course welcomes both newcomers and people with agricultural experience who are ready to be part of the solution. Whether you're managing land or simply seeking to understand regenerative agriculture, you'll learn practical principles and techniques that contribute to meaningful climate action while building resilient food systems.

Experiences from Previous Participants

The courses organised by De BosBoerderij offer not only valuable knowledge about syntropic agriculture but also a deeper connection with nature and the community. Participants gain both theoretical insights and practical experience applying the principles in real-life situations. Here’s what some of our past participants have shared:

"I joined the 4-day syntrophic food forest course at WIJdeHorst in February 2025 to learn about regenerative agriculture, but also to find meaningful work that balances my head, hands, and heart. Now I'm there weekly, watching the forest grow and the soil come alive."

Suzanne van Dijk - Volunteering Team WIJdehorst

Last 4 years I learned about permaculture, agroforestry and syntropic farming. The recent 4 day course at WIJdehorst in Wassenaar was indeed a ‘diving into the syntropic way of tree planting’. We learned to reconnect with nature. And the attention and mindfulness with which we planted makes it impossible now to do otherwise 😀 ! Great course and ditto experience.

“The 5-day syntropic agriculture course at Koperwiek has really structured my thinking about how to work with natural systems. Not only on a theoretical level but also with a practical design methodology. I can continue my learning through further reading and practical experiments. The course also connected me with a community of like-minded people, where we exchange knowledge, experiences, and support on our journey in syntropic agriculture. Thank you!”

— Diana Power, Permaculture Professional

“The syntropic agriculture course by De BosBoerderij was much more than just a course on agroforestry. For me, it was a course about life itself. The connection between people and nature, and the role we play as stewards of the land, was an eye-opener. A truly inspiring and fascinating experience!”
